Hi y’all, first let me just say, ‘Thank You’ for stopping by! I hope you find something inspirational here. This blog has been a long time coming and it is such a labor of love. I just hope it can be a help to someone along their journey.
I am a self-proclaimed foodie who, somewhere along the way found myself in a love/hate relationship with food. I found myself using food as a way to make myself feel better. And if a scoop of ice cream made things better a super sized bowl must make life grand, right? Well, this kind of thinking is what got me to 200+ lbs. I have tried just about everything to try to lose weight but every time, I end up in the same place, using food as a crutch and a ‘feel better’ tool. All my best laid plans and efforts down the drain because when the going gets rough, I head for the freezer, cupboard or candy drawer!
I live in mid-Michigan with my handsome hubby and my sassy teenage daughter, where we are in full-time Christian service at a Christian camp. I also have two littles in heaven. A 10-year-old little boy (went to heaven when he was 10, due to a car accident) and a sweet baby we never got to meet. Join me here as I find my way back to a healthy relationship with food. Come on, it’s going to be a wild ride!
